NEW ON SITE
As it will probably take a couple of years to get the history of Ayutthaya fully written out, we think it could be useful to the
occasional visitor, to log all the pages added to the site on a monthly bases. It will give a glimpse of what has been recently written.
A project - since long deep dug in my mind - has been finalized. This extensive graphic work took me some weeks. Until today I categorized 415 temples,
ruins, mounds and sites of disappeared temples in Ayutthaya District. For every site a Technical File (TF) has been drafted and presently set up in a large
Temple Database as part of a much larger Ayutthaya Historical Database (MS-Access). From those files, the AHR web pages have been drafted.

All these web pages have been linked to an
Interactive Graphic Map containing today 350 colored pinpoints, categorizing and linking the same number of
temples to each of their web pages. The work is far from finalized, as another 65 sites need to be reviewed and indicated on map. This work is planned to be
finalized end of August this year.

At this moment I start the comparison of old maps of Ayutthaya, recently obtained. I will try to make an Interactive Graphic Map for some of these maps as
well. The outcome of this comparison will be adjusted in the present Ayutthaya Interactive Historical Map.

A major change to the web site’s sub-group “
Temples & Ruins” is its structure. The Inter-cardinal directions used for the division of the Ayutthaya District
has been changed to a division used by the Fine Arts Department; based on the waterways as boundaries and as thus has a cardinal direction approach.

As it takes a while to re-link all these web pages into the new structure, some links are not working or are not working correctly. I apologize for the
inconvenience and continue to set it right.

Addendum

Taking profit of the momentum I created also an interactive version of Phraya Boran Rachathanin's map drafted in 1926. At the same time I posted the links
to both interactive maps on a single web page named "
Interactive Historical Maps".

A historical site without some historical pictures would be incomplete. A page on "Old Photography" was thus created under the tab of "Geo Info". The
beginning of a large album?
